We are a team of experts in Human Factors, User Research and UX, passionate about Human Centred Design. We help create solutions that positively impact lives by focusing on the people who will use them.

Our Founder Annmarie, has over 12 years experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to drive desirable, technically feasible and commercially viable solutions, grounded in Human Centred Design principles. Day-to-day she supports customers with strategic planning and decision making, including Product Management support, HF Strategy Consulting and Design Innovation Workshop facilitation. In her spare time you’ll find her surfing, snowboarding or out in the hills with her dogs!
ANNMARIE NICOLSON
DIRECTOR & HUMAN FACTORS CONSULTANT

Having worked both client-side and in consultancy, Claire has a balanced perspective of the HFE process, and a keen eye for detail. Along with her background in biochemistry, and a PhD in paediatric medical device design, Claire uses her knowledge of pharmaceuticals, biology, and human factors to help deliver meaningful products to users. When not at her screen, you’ll find Claire behind her sewing machine, or out walking her beloved Westies!
CLAIRE ROBERTS

Laura has a background in Psychology and 8 years experience supporting clients in safety-critical and medical industries. Specialising in medical device development, she works closely with customers to ensure systems are safe and effective to use. Her expertise includes Use Related Risk Assessments to planning, moderating, analysing and reporting of HF Formative and Summative evaluations. When not reading or playing video games, Laura loves keeping fit at jiujitsu and exploring Bristol’s restaurant scene.
LAURA MCDOWALL
LEAD HUMAN FACTORS CONSULTANT
Our Graduate Human Factors Engineer, Eibhilin has a Medical Biotechnology and Masters Degree in Medical Device Design. She is passionate about using the skills obtained during her studies to help others to enhance quality of life. Eibhilin is a member of the European Allergy and Asthma Youth Parliament and spends her free time advocating for those with eczema, asthma and allergy. She also enjoys travelling and has recently completed a tour of Europe.

Molly is our Human Factors and Design Consultant, experienced in HF for the medical industry. She supports HF activities including moderating remote and in-person exploratory research and usability interviews. Molly is also a visual artist and pursues her interest in tools and principles related to visual facilitation and service design, to understand and enhance experiences.
MOLLY NORTHCOTE
SENIOR HUMAN FACTORS DESIGN CONSULTANT

Sophie is our User Researcher with a background in Human Factors. After graduating with a BSc in HFErgonomics from Loughborough Sophie worked as an Insight and Innovation Consultant, spanning front end innovation, user research and design strategy. With an enthusiasm for understanding human behaviour and how people interact with their surroundings, Sophie supports HF activities and conducts exploratory research and usability interviews. When she’s not at work you can find Sophie behind a sewing machine, climbing a hill or exploring the world.
